BRICKrhetoric respects your privacy and is committed to ensuring that any personal
or confidential information that is collected is kept accurate and secure from unauthorized access.
Information BRICKrhetoric gathers and tracks
BRICKrhetoric collects two kinds of information about users: 1) data that users volunteer by signing up to receive news; and 2) aggregated tracking data we collect when users interact with us.
Personal information
Names, age and email addresses are collected via our submission form and mailing list subscribe form, i.e. we only collect this information if the user submits it. We do not make any of this information publicly available, nor do we pass any of this information on to third parties.
· When submitting a query via our ‘Contact Us’ form, your name and email address will be used for a response, and when requested, for the purpose of sending newsletters. Users may opt out of receiving newsletters at any time by emailing: editor@BRICKrhetoric.org.
· BRICKrhetoric uses a third-party vendor, Submishmash, for receiving all literary/art submissions. For more information on Submishmash service, please see their privacy policy.
· Contributors to BRICKrhetoric have the option, if they desire, to submit a complete biography with an accompanying profile picture. Contributors may at any time request to have their biographies and/or profile pictures modified or removed. To make this request, please email: editor@BRICKrhetoric.org.
Aggregated tracking information
We analyze visitors' use of our site by tracking information such as page views, traffic flow, search terms, and click through. We use this information to improve our site. We also share this anonymous traffic and demographic information in aggregate form with advertisers and other business partners. We do not share any information with advertisers that can identify an individual user.
BRICKrhetoric is powered by Microsoft Office Live. Microsoft does not reveal any personally identifiable information about users, such as names or email address. For more information on Microsoft Office Live service, please see their privacy policy.
Cookies
A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your web browser when you visit our site. Cookies enable our system to recognize your computer, so that we can provide you with personalized information and features. We also use cookies to track user traffick patterns.

If we change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on BRICKrhetoric.org. If we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users via email. Users will be able to opt out of any new use of their personal information.
Privacy notice for online collection of personal information from children under the age of 14
Names, age and email addresses are collected via our literary/art submission form (hosted by Submishmash), i.e. we only collect this information if the user submits it, to:
· Notify literary/art submittors regarding whether or not their works have been accepted for publication.
· Notify contributors of subsequent issues/submission cycles.
We do not make any of this information publicly available, nor do we pass any of this information on to third parties.
Contributors to GREYstone, which accepts submissions from students K-12, are asked to submit a brief biography to accompany their submissions in the format of: Name, Age, City, State. This is so that credit can be given to young artists for their work/s. Contributors above the age of 14 are also permitted, if they desire, to submit a complete biography with an accompanying profile picture. GREYstone contributors or their parents may at any time request to have their biographies and/or profile pictures modified or removed. To make this request, please email: editor@BRICKrhetoric.org.
Parents can request to review the child's personal information that we have collected (i.e. name, age and email address),
ask to have it deleted and refuse to allow any further collection or use of the child's information. To do this, parents must email: editor@BRICKrhetoric.org.
